K&S began with the intention to stop scrap tire dumping in our communities and has evolved to sustainable solutions for landfill diversion. With the installation of our state of the art zero waste recycling system, we have diverted 100% of the scrap tires collected from the landfill.
Our Vision has led to us finding a zero-waste tire processing system that is able to create recycled end products and a positive impact on the environment. Recycled tire rubber can be used for:
- Commercial Landscaping such as rubber mulch and rubber retaining walls for gardens
- Commercial Playground materials that are safe for children
- Tire Derived Aggregate (TDA) which is used in construction projects as it is light weight, sustainable, and less expensive than other materials
- Tire Derived Fuel (TDF) is used to run some concrete kilns and power plants, offering a more sustainable alternative to fossil fuels
- Crumb Rubber can be molded into everyday products such as rubber flooring, car mats, and even new tires.
